Some of my favorite characters so far:
An – Peace/Order
安
The top part is the “roof” or “house” character, and the one below is the female character. So, literally, it’s a woman with a roof over her head.
Qiu – Fall/Autumn
秋
The character on the left side is the “tree” character and the one on the right side is “fire”. I like to think of it as the tree leaves all colorful.
There are lots more but those two are elegant.
