Test is in 4 days (Sunday morning at 8:30am) in Beijing.

Leaving Nanjing tomorrow (Thursday) at 9pm, getting on a train, training 10 hours to Beijing and arriving at 7am on Friday. Happily, I’m staying a nice, posh hotel so at least I don’t have to worry about the nice Beijing cold weather…that is, until Sunday.

I love China, I really do, but it’s classrooms suck. The foreigner students tend to get treated better than the Chinese students, so we actually have heating and stuff in our classrooms—at least in Nanjing—I really have no idea what to expect out of the Bei-da (北京大学...北学) classrooms. My test is at:

“Testing Center. 2nd Floor of #4 Building (By the sports field), Beijing”

I was pretty cool and not nervous about this whole trip about a week ago. Now, as I’m getting closer to the date, I’m just imagining myself getting to the wrong BeiDa campus, taking the wrong train to Guangdong, and a million other things.

Back to the quality of classrooms. In Nanjing, there isn’t any central heating, so all classrooms—all rooms in general—have their own heating units. Class during the winter time is hella cold even with those units. I’m expecting the worse at BeiDa, so I’m bringing hats, scarves, gloves, 4 jackets, 5 pants and I’m strongly considering bringing timber and a match to the testing site just in case…

sigh at least my practice tests are doing well.
