Friday morning on the metro, I had left my ipod and book at home and I was bored, so I started looking around and letting the good old imagination roam.
I decided that I wanted a Final Fantasy-esqe team and I was going to build it from people in the metro. At first, it was just me—the lone troubled warrior without an ipod or a book—but then this tall, really cute, blond girl walked in. She was wearing all black, and it was skin-tight and a white vest. So she became my ninja/thief. It was awesome and I started coming up with a good backstory for her. Essentially, she came from a rich family and was brought up well, but her loving father had incurred these terrible debts to support the lifestyle that her eeeevil mother had accumulated. He had to pay them off and so she went into the thieving business. Somewhere along the line, she picked up ninja skills. She’s witty and totally irreverent and a breath of fresh air in tight, dangerous situations.
But a ninja thief and myself simply aren’t enough to fight the dangerous warlock lord that stole the magical gems from the four corners of the earth!
We needed more.
So I look and look and look and at Tenleytown-AU, I see him! This tall dirty blond haired guy carrying a long black case meant to carry something like a set of skis or something, but I knew they weren't skis. It was his tribe's fighting staff! I had my protector! With him was a little girl that looked like his daughter, but I knew that she wasn't his daughter, but one of the last remaining people from his tribe and his job was to protect her until she got older and was able to activate and learn her magical healing powers. Nice! I have my fighter and my healer!
And who's sitting right across from me but an asian fellow around my age! I didn't even see him before, but I quickly realized that I had my tech/weapons guy! He's asian, I quickly think to myself, so (of course) he has to be good with math and engineering! Excellent!
At that point, we had all arrived at our metro stop and we all bid each other farewell, but we'll meet again in order to fight the evil spreading throughout the land.
