Apparently I’m the only one that hasn’t seen this one before, but here is a really cool rendition of Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’ done by Matt Wendel of Obadiah Parker. I’m really impressed with it and have been listening to the song non-stop for a couple of hours now.
Much like Ryan Adams’ version of Wonderwall these covers are able to take an already established song to a different level than maybe even the original authors hadn’t seen.
Confession: I sincerely think that Ryan Adams makes an already incredible song to near perfect heights.
