My lovely and adored 3G iPod, Euterpe is out of memory, has a battery life of about 3 hours and doesn’t play videos. I think it just may be time to upgrade, but I’m really torn about what to get. Should I try to wait for the eternally rumored video touchscreen iPod? Should I hold out until Microsoft gets its act together and makes the Zune accessible to my laptop? Same goes for the people over at Creative. (Seriously, people, just because we’re a minority doesn’t mean you should totally screw Mac people over. I want choices! I want options!)
So, back to the story. I’m thinking of shelling out the money and upgrading to an 80GB iPod. Well, that might be overdoing it, but maybe a 30GB Euterpe II or something like that. The battery life is obviously longer, the screen is brighter, and the iPod is generally better. But I still feel like I’m betraying my current mp3 player by even thinking of upgrading. Does that happen to any of you?
In any case, I’m really tempted to upgrade, but I’m not sure if I should hold out longer for something better or bite the proverbial bullet and shell out the $250-350 for iPod II.
Thoughts? Advice?
