In any case, if you’re looking for a good band, I suggest you check out Signal Hill Transmission. I have no idea how I found them, but they’ve got some fun stuff and they’re pretty low key right now. Get in on the ground and then you can claim that you’ve been a fan since day one.
Another fabulous band is the always excellent Yo La Tengo. I’ve been a fan of these guys since 2000 and am really happy with their new album “I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass,” particularly “black flowers”. I’ve been trying to find some lyrics and can’t find them, so here goes what I can make out. If anyone finds better lyrics than my own, please let me know.
