Welcome 2007, and good riddance 2006. I could talk about how the past year was a learning experience and how I’ve grown because of it. I could reflect on the laughs, the tears, the marathon, the adaptation to life in the US, but I’ll settle it with just saying “good riddance” to the blasted year.

It’s 2007. It’s a new day and every day is a day to make a change.

Resolutions?
Run the Army Ten-Miler and the Marine Corps Marathon in October…and kick ass.
Go to law school come the fall.
Metro into work rather than drive.
More volunteering…and I want to give blood too.

At the end of the day, I want to live this year as if it is my last..I want to run, fly, laugh, drink, swim, think, debate, change minds, be convinced, sing, kiss, dance and enjoy and live as much of every minute as I can. Without regrets, without fear and as open and honest as I can be to myself and to everyone else.

So that’s what I’ll do…I’ll be honest, I won’t take things or people for granted, I’ll run, I’ll read as much as I can, I’ll take care of those special to me, I will become the person I’ve always wanted to be. As someone wiser than myself once wrote, “Do nothing which is of no use.” Words to live by…and I will.

Oh yeah, and losing some weight would be nice too.
