In terms of cleaning the most I think I’ve ever had to do has been some dusting, some vaccuming…and that’s about it. I’ve lived a blessed, sheltered life and it’s hitting me now.
In college…well, it was college. And it was six guys. So we’d do some cleaning once every two-three months when stuff just got gross.
And while here in Nanjing I hired someone to help me keep the apartment nice and clean, but I was kinda unhappy with the job she was doing and I couldn’t really justify to myself hiring someone to clean my place…especially since it’s regular everyday stuff. It’s not like I’m throwing raves at my place every weekend.
So, last week was her last week and now I’m on my own. It’s hit me that I have no idea how to clean an apartment…like, none whatsoever. I have a broom. That’s it. I don’t know how to mop, I don’t know anything.
