Whilst watching The Tudors I am under the impression that all the royalty does is: (1) Have crazy sex with beautiful people, (2) Plot wars and methods for political advancement, and (3) Plot how to have more sex with even more beautiful people so that one can adance politically.
I’m not gonna lie, this sounds like an amazing time to be alive. On the other hand: no internet, no daily showers, no air conditioning, and no penecilin. Also, life expectancy of, like, 60.
Random tidbit I like about the show: when the characters speak in Spanish or Portuguese, they speak in the vosotros and in the high language. It reminds me of how much language changes over time. A thousand years ago, 700 years ago, the languages we know today are significantly different and, in some repects, almost unrecognizable.
Statement of facts, summary, argument 3 are all done. The first two arguments need tweaking. Then all day sat and Sunday will be attention to the page numbers, citations, etc.
