Random thought of the day: The film, The Cell, was pretty unremarkable save the beautiful and arresting visuals (think Damien Hirst, and Salvador Dali’s Un Chien Andalou). Well, the director, Tarsem Singh has come out with a new film, The Fall that comes out this year (although apparently released way back in 2006? but check out the trailer it’s impressive). I’m hoping that it’s better than The Cell with respect to story/plot. The visuals, as always, look absolutely stunning and breathtaking. I also have high hopes for Pushing Daisies star, Lee Pace in this work of art. I liked him in The Good Shepherd, but the truth is that until Pushing Daises, I’ve never really noticed him. I really want to see what he’s all about.
Side note: Pushing Daisies (one of the cutest, funniest, and most original shows I’ve ever seen) has apparently been greenlighted renewed (ed. thanks, Lauren!) for a 2008-2009 series. I can’t wait.

I concur with you assessment of the renewal of Pushing Daisies…however, greenlighting is used for pilots, existing series are usually renewed.
