Real quick, I suppose that this is pretty par for the course, but I must say that I sortof enjoy the world of sobriety. Right out of college and for a significant amount of time afterwards, I was out at the bars every night and every weekend. I’d do a calculation with respect to how much money I’ve saved, but it’s all gone to law books and tuition instead, so it’s a bit of a moot point. (Heh, or a moo point.)

(The inspiration for that above post was this New Yorker article on hangovers.)

On an unrelated note, one of the biggest things I miss about working in DC that I unfortunately didn’t discover until really late in the game is the fabulous Politics and Prose Bookstore and Coffee House. It’s this really cool bookstore that brings in amazing authors for small round-table discussions and lectures. It has its own coffee store and it’s a perfect place to read the Sunday Times in the morning. While I’ve found a couple of places with wireless, snacks, and the such here, as a student, I’d love to regularly study there on weekends.

Now to bed for reals.
