Dear BBC,
Sometimes you absolutely hit it out of the park (e.g., Monty Python’s Flying Circus, The Office, and Dr. Who (when it doesn’t suck)), and then sometimes you give an entertaining amount of mediocrity (Spooks S1) and then you just give us ridiculousness, poor acting, a terrible musical score, and…ugh-ness (Merlin). The only redeeming quality? Giles the Watcher plays Uther Pendragon. And that’s only enough to entertain me for about 42 minutes.
It’s like Smallville…but 89 times cheesier. I had no idea that was even possible! Leave it to the Brits. Well played, cousins. Well played, indeed.
