After living in Nanjing for the past several months I’ve realized that there is a magic in growing up in the suburbs. Thanks to this lovely jet-lag that I’ve yet to shake off, I’ve been waking up at around 6am everyday. Nanjing – much like any city – is constantly busy. At any point in time, there is movement outside my window and on the streets below.
I just spent a good 30 minutes outside having some coffee and enjoying the peace and the silence. In any big city I could never get 30 minutes of pure silence.

On a random note, China blocks out my ability to read Blogspot, so I’ve been enjoying myself the past couple of days catching up on Jamie’s (yup, he’s still Jamie in my mind) and K’s blogs. K is off in lovely Spain and maybe – just maybe – one day we’ll be in the country at the same time. That’d rock.
